Ok, I am pulling my hair out here.
I have 3 machines (2 WinME, 1 Win2K). The Netgear 314 is up and running and Internet Access is great. The problem comes in with Checkpoint SecureRemote. Yes, it is configured for IKE encryption.
I can always connect and get the authentication message from Secure Remote but only sometimes does the site that I am connecting to actually appear... Of those times that it does connect, it is only active for about 10 minutes and then the SecureRemote connection dies. I get error messages like, error communicationg with XXX.XXX.XXX, etc. I can't reconnect, nothing.
I thought maybe I had SecureRemote configured wrong at first until I tried a friends Linksys. All three machines connected fine (even at the same time) and the connections were not lost.
I really like the NetGear but does anyone have any ideas why I am having such difficulties with the NetGear with SecureRemote... it is definitely a router/configuration problem since the VPN software works through a direct connection and through a LinkSys router.
The Netgear is clearly faster and I would like to keep it but only if I can get by this problem.
BTW, I am using DHCP on the NetGear and I have turned off all filters just for kicks. 3.20 firmware.
Thanks!
