This post is regarding configuring reomte desktop on winxp behind a netgear mr814v2 router. I have doen extensive reearch on the net and on these forums and am listing all the things i have tried below (none of which have worked)
ALL The following were tried on individually and in all posiblle combinations:
1. enabled port forwarding 3389 to go to my internal ip (192.168.0.X)
2. set MTU to 1492
3. enabled 4908 UDP to go to my computer and disabled SPI
4. winxp firewall tried in all of the following modes: disabled, enbled passing 3389 and everyy other freaken port google searches showed up with.
Result:
I have ethereal (packet caputure windows utility). I can see the packets come in from source (external ip) and to my destination (identified by internal ip 192.168.0.X) but to no avail??
Any help is appreciated.
