I was offered one for half of what it costs new. Curious how are these routers and will they work fine with 802.11b and g?

Yes, they would work OK with 802.11b/g.

It would take advantage of the MINO with a Matching Netgear card.

It would Not be Upgradeable to the future 802.11n

what would be the difference in pre-n and when 802.11n is out? Honestly though I was offered one for $45 shipped which is hard to turn down. Also when is 802.11n suppose to be out?

The difference would not be so much in a single unit basic functions, but in the availability of other Wireless devices of the same standard, and augmented Security. Right Now there is only Wireless routers and Client cards that are MIMO look a like, nothing else to work with them on MIMO level (I.e. Bridges, External Antenna, Game Box adaptors, etc.)

Also when is 802.11n suppose to be out?

Probably next year.
