Make sure cable is screwed in the modem tightly. Sometimes even a bit of looseness can cause problem.

What cable modem do you have? And is it customer-owned, or leased, from the cable company?

Motorola / Arris SB6121 and SB6141 modems, had an exploit, that Comcast "fixed" with an update, unfortunately, that update means that the end-user can no longer access the modem stats page.

That's a Docsis 3.1 Gigabit WAN-capable modem, I think.

Should be able to access the setup / connection properties page on that pretty easy, I think.

This is what my ISP said lol they don't even know what they are talking about.

thank you so muc hfor your kind patience, if 192.168.100.1 it's not giving you access, please try these steps

On your computer, open a web browser.
2In the address bar, enter one of the following addresses.

http://192.168.1.1 http://192.168.0.1 http://192.168.0.254 http://192.168.1.254 http://www.routerlogin.net http://www.routerlogin.com Note: If none of these addresses work, we recommend you check in the owner’s manual for your device.
3Enter your User name and Password in the pop-up window and click OK.

The default login for most common manufacturers is the following.User name: admin Password: password

Note: User name and password are both case sensitive.
Refer to your owner's manual if the above login does not work. If you have changed the default login, you will need to contact your device manufacturer. If you are renting your equipment from Cox, contact us.
4Once you are logged in, complete the following steps to locate your Network Name (SSID) and password.

Note: The location of these settings may vary depending on the device manufacturer. From the left menu, under Basic, click Wireless. Under Setup, click Wireless Settings.

Results: Network Name (SSID) is in the Name (SSID) field. Password locations:For WEP encryption, your current wireless password is located in the Key 1 field. For WPA/WPA2 encryption, your current wireless password is located in the Passphrase field.

They thought you were talking about the router.

I said cable modem.

Anyway I got to the diagnostics page somehow at least the first page. Is this the info you need to know please? Thanks.

I took a screenshot.

Before I post it does Status tab show anything where a hacker could hack me ?

Looks like it is mainly startup procedure, downstream bond channels and upstream bonded channels.

There should be a log page that shows error and stuff.
