Interesting, the reviews on NewEgg are a bit scary - key takeaway - DO NOT UPDATE THESE BOXES.

Also, in a comparison between NTV300 models, it says the PRO works with "Any TV" but this model doesn't? What does that even mean? The exact same comparison also states that it DOES work with 1080p and 5.1 Dolby audio, so what TVs, exactly does this unit NOT work with?

In this guide (which also details hacking the unit), we find that the box has 128MB of flash, and 256MB of RAM.

I still haven't seen a simple list of supported file types. For $20, seems like a no-brainer, but I really wish this was Android-based. I've got too many older media boxes floating around myself, so I'm going to resist the urge to get one and play with it.

I believe that this was one of the few media players that got updated to include Cinavia protection. So if you are a potential buyer and want to stream DVD/BD Rips this should be a consideration for you........

I used to have the older version of these NeoTV set tops. They are truly terrible and worth no more than $20 shipped. Slow, froze a lot, and just plain unstable.
