Hey thanks. is turning SSID of the same as disabling wireless function. I do not need a wireless router. I only want to use it wired, but this is a great deal.

You're getting confused here. Disabling SSID prevents the router from broadcasting itself to wireless clients. This is NOT the same thing as disabling the wireless access point altogether. However the MR814v2 has the ability to do both of these.

Oh yes, I know I was confused :) Wireless networking is tottaly new to me. However I am glad to know I can disable here.

Also, I read on a customer review somewhere that this router does not work well with DSL modems. Does anyone have experience using these with DSL ?

BTW two of the rebates ask for the original UPC

That's because there are two items. One of the rebates that calls for the original is for the adapter and one is for the router.

Ahh.. I see. That makes sense now.

Looks like a great deal. Now I just would love to hear about peoples experience with it with DSL.

I have one. Used with Comcast. Works awesome! $20 after rebates, and with a nic. You can't go wrong. The only problem I have with this deal is that you ahve to wait for 4 rebates totaling $75... That's a lot of rebates. This unit has gone on sale like this many times with less rebates. Personally I'd wait for a deal with less rebates.
