Netgear MA521 Connection Problems

I just converted my whole network to wireless, I bought the MR814v2 router, the MA111 Wireless USB Adapter (for my desktop), and the MA521 wireless adapter (for my laptop). The USB adapter works perfectly and I haven't lost the connection yet. The MA521 adapter for my laptop however cannot hold a connection, no matter where I am in my house. Even if I am in the same room as my desktop and I haven't moved the laptop at all. It will show that I have an excellent connection for about 30 seconds and then it will switch to no connection for about 30 seconds.

I have tried installing new drivers on my laptop and updating the firmware in the router. Any suggestions are appreciated.
