Netgear CG814WG Problems

Hey folks,

I am having issues with my Netgear CG814WG modem/router combination. I have 10 meg

service through Charter Communications, and I am connected via a LAN cable directly to

the modem/router. Often, when I try to connect to games via Steam (TF2, CSS, GMOD) I

load until the loading bar says "parsing game info" and then the bar stops. I have tried

waiting (eventually it times out). I also have "connection interrupted" messages show up

whenever I enter a map in COD4, Battlefield 2, and BF2142. I have tried openning ports

for BF2142, as well as reinstalling/updating punkbuster. I have a feeling that my issues are

related to the modem/router combo. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Reset all settings on router and try it out, Update firmware to the latest.

If it comes to it, get a new modem and router. I never really liked combos, but thats just me.
