netgear 814 accesspoints/routers, possible configuration?

Hi all,

I have a question about these access point/routers such as the Netgear 814 802.11b devices


My friend has a three story house with the DSL network on the first story and a computer on the third story.

Can I buy two of these, configure one as the DSL router, stick the second access point/router on the second story without any wired connection, to provide a better connection to the computer on the third story?

You might be able to do so with an Access Point that can be configured as a Repeater.

doubtful that pos router is usable as a repeater. at best u need a wire, turn off dhcp on it. 3 story house.,.better using g products. their reception is better. b is asking for a nightmare in a larger house.
