Kind of a stupid question, but I installed the Netgear 614 in my system, I have internet via DSL, all networked computers connect to the internet, but none can see the other.

Previous to this I was using the Linksys router that Vonage provided, works fine, just not enough wired connections. I've also tried an old 3 Com router and it too works fine, all computers can see each other. I've disabled the wireless portion of the Netgear unit, as I don't need it at the moment, but I do have 4 hardwired computer connected that need to see each other. I've tried adding IPX, from what I've read that often solves the problem, all are set to auto, I did not assign addresses, but still nothing.

Any ideas of what I'm missing?

can you ping the other computers? Are all the addresses in the same subnet? How are you trying to "see" your other computers?

are your computers in the same "workgroup"? check this by right clicking my computer and going to properties or computer name.(dependent upon which oses you are running)

make sure they are in the same workgroup other wise you won;t be able to "see" your other computers.
