Possibly even HOTTER??

Does Staples pricematch Amazon? If so, perhaps a $-off coupon should be used first, then call for the PM. The rebate on the Amazon site doesn't say anything about Amazon only (double check this).

Looks like you could get it for $130-$30(coupon)-$30(rebate)=$70. Now thats what I'd call HOT!

A bump and a request to DarkFudge.

Perhaps change the topic title to reflect the (possibility) of getting this for $70 rather than $100. It makes it a much hotter deal! :D

I saw 199 too, my staples rep called to check stock and onvia said they were out; they must have updated it for them... and they say that since they are out of stock they can't sell it to me... how lame

noload: Did you check with the telephone number on the Netgear rebate form (at Amazon) to make sure it wasn't an Amazon only rebate (I don't think it is, but you might want to make sure)?

For anyone else, here is the link to Onvia for the router in case it comes back in stock.

Staples shows it as 3-5 day delivery, so I don't think they can charge you Amazon's overnight rate. An easier route might be to get it from Outpost.com since it has free shipping. More expensive though at $140. :(

Anyone know DarkFudge? It would be nice to change the topic title to show the real deal here.

Heh. Hate to followup my own post but...

The rebate is universal it would seem. Here is the rebate form directly from NetGear http://www.netgear.com/images/netgear28724.pdf

I found it at buy.com, who also has it for $130. Standard shipping would be $7.70 from them for a net cost after rebates and PM at staples of $77.69 ($129.99-$30coupon-$30rebate+$7.70ship) + any tax of course.

Not bad! ;)

my problem isn't in the pricematching, it's the fact that staples says they can't order it b/c they don't have any in stock. I think what I'm trying to say is .....

Staples is suck

:p

And more so, b/c otherwise I would just cave in and get that linksys router they have... DOH!

so do you guys agree this deserves a bump?.....to recap Amazon is selling for $130 -$30 Netgear rebate which brings final cost to $99.00 and if Staples will price match you can do a $30 coupon first time Online buy thru their website bringing the cost down to $70 plus shipping?.......Is this correct?

Also what is this crap now that I see some site charging TAX to certain states??!

I thought whenever you buy out of state there is NO TAX ever added??....what is going on here??...this was suppose to be one of the majore advatages of purchasing online otherwise tax + shipping kills whatever money you may have originally saved.....anyone have a problem with this???...I'm furiated

I've got the Zyxel Prestige 314 version of this router (same thing, Zyxel makes the chip and writes teh firmware that netgear uses).

It is great!

:D
