Man I wish I could get this service in Canada. All the good services seem to be US exclusive. If I had a friend register an account in the US could I use the account to stream content to my pc/360?

Edited for typo

I use Zip.ca, but they do not have streaming yet. Since they are owned by Rogers now, I wouldn't be surprised to see something come along from them pretty soon.

I was reading that link about comparisons, and although the dvd by mail is comparable none of them have the streaming movies, which is what I really want. I will have to look closer at zip.ca and see what all is happening with them. Megavideo has a subscription service, but if the free service is any indication its not worth much.

The video streams pretty well on my Roku. They added HD which is double awesome.

Yeah, except for one time when I had some wireless interference, I've gotten nothing but quality reception via my 360s.

I've had 0 problems with my 360. The amount of content available via streaming could be better, but it could be worse too. They're adding more and more as time goes on.

Speaking of services that aren't available in Canada, I just found out yesterday that I can't get a Skypein number here. I can still make calls, but regular phones can't call me.

Supposedly, this is something else that MS is looking into adding to the 360.

yup... you can get skypein numbers in third world shit holes that hardly have a telco infrastructure, but not canada. why? CRTC blocks anything modern and useful for canadians.

same reason netflix doesnt stream to canada.

same reason almost none of the 360's built in video content streams to canada.

part of the reason our cell phone networks are so awful

same reason our radio stations play so much useless canadian shit

same reason our TV is filled with horrible canadian made TV shows (seriously horrible... little mosque on the prairie? wtf?)

same reason our sirius/xm sucks

GO CRTC!

fuck. at least i can hotspot shield my way into hulu now.
