I have had Netflix for 79,000 years. I watch something on it every day. There always seems to be new content in nearly every category. It's great. I love it.

Not in the least. There are tons and tons and tons of action and adventure and blah blah blah that's not scifi.

Their new content consists of movies from the 80's and 90's...

Really getting hard to justify them anymore when for like $3 I can watch a fairly recent movie on Amazon.

Netflix does have some good content... and if you are into foreign flicks...

Maybe you should try to find a computer, with this computer, you can get on the internet. And on this internet, you can perhaps logon to Netflix. And once you're logged on, you can find a Preference page in your Netflix profile. Within this Preference page, now stick with me, this gets a bit complicated, but you can set preferences to which type of movies you'd rather enjoy. After that is done, you will see other movies that you haven't seen before...

It's difficult, but try that. :D

And if you have to ”justify” $8, you're doing it wrong.

yeah, three dollars each

You people are like the folks who are instantly unsatisfied if the movie isn't an instant release.

I watched Ghost Protocol for the first time ever and it was on Netflix last week. Netflix isn't THAT out of touch. You're just too picky and negative.

See, this is where Netflix fails IMO. They need to bring back separate preference profiles so that each family member has a recently viewed list and it can suggest for each member of each profile.
I do NOT want to watch any Hanna Montana or H2O kids shows that my kids watch. Consequently, they do not want to watch my foreign subtitled action flicks either.

Yeah, but they do provide that option where you select ”Netflix for kids”. Yes, life is difficult.

Wow, that really helped answer my 1st world problems. The point is, they used to HAVE that option but removed it for some odd reason. Separate 'watched title' lists and 'recommended for' lists.

Forget about a +1 postcount and agree that it is a flaw in their current system. Otherwise I have no complaint with Netflix as it stands. I just want it to be better for one minor setting.

When was this? I've had Netflix for at least two years and I've never seen it. This is one of the most requested Netflix features, so it's a big deal if they have it.

They do have separate queues for DVDs, yes, but never there was a separate list for instant streaming.

Edit: now I remember hearing Netflix beta-tested this feature for some accounts, so maybe you were testing it and then they decided to not implement it?

Everyone should have a separate netflix account. Works great.

I think he means "the quality of SyFy (the actual network) programming," which is an apt complaint.

A lot of that action and adventure is C- to D-grade schlock of the knockoff or spoof variety, straight-to-DVD claptrap that features such resounding acting talent as Deborah Gibson and Kevin Sorbo, etc.

Now, I do think the overall quality of films that they have available for streaming has improved remarkably--classics, drama, foreign, some Sci Fi and action has gotten decent, the real benefit of their streaming is in docs and TV shows.

I've been trying more to use my Netflix and Prime accounts. It's just so hard to find anything. I wish it could tie in my TiVo ThumbsUp/Down.

Unfortunately the TiVo Netflix interface sucks. I use a Roku.

I found it funny that one of the suggested movie sections for me on the Roku interface was called "Exciting Movies". Like, hrm... Where's the boring dull ass movies section?
