Netflix Volume on Macbook Pro

I can never get the volume high enough when I stream Netflix on my Macbook Pro. Is there something I can do to turn it up so that the instant stream is audible? My speakers can definitely go higher. 😱
 
Can go higher as in other apps can output more sound, or a sort gut intuition?

There is an app called Boom (IIRC) that does this. Past that... I have never really had a problem, and usually am hooked to external speakers when watching netflix anyway.
 
Other apps go way higher. I heard about Boom, checked it out on the app store and seems to have mixed reviews and not sure I want to buy an app just for Netflix. Any other ideas?
