Netflix streaming question.

Does Netflix update their streaming titles on a particular day of the week, or do they just add and delete them at any time?

AFAIK, some titles are only licensed out for specific amounts of time. But, I think for the most part they stay as a permanent part of their streaming library.

that's my understanding too....learned when I woke up one day and a lot of my streaming was no longer available.

They come and go randomly. And if my queue is any indication, NOTHING is guaranteed to be there forever. Some stuff has lasted only a month, some has lasted a year, but thats pushing it. If you see something you like, watch it immediately cuz they dont normally give much advance notice when its gonna disappear. I usually see warnings a week in advance if at all.

They pulled a lot of stuff off the streaming before the holidays, I guess to increase retail sales. I found a lot of titles I had on streaming disappeared but came back this month. I was watching farscape, got into season 2 and they pulled it, made me so mad, but it is now back.
