Netflix screwing me

I've been a subscriber to netflix since around 2002 or so and have never had to wait on a movie, maybe 2 times I've seen the "short wait" for anything. But things happen, I had a kid and stopped watching so many movies so I got sick of 3 movies sitting around collecting dust so I dropped down to the one at a time plan.

Now everything seems to have either a short and many times a long wait. Double you tee eff netflix, so this is how you treat long time customers?

If I didnt already have $100 tied up in a Roku player I would think about cancelling.

Canceled after they started throttling me 5 years ago. Have been thinking about going back and canceling TV but have been hearing a lot of horror stories.

Throttling is fine, but with the one at a time I STILL dont rent that many movies, I use the on demand a decent amount but dont throttle me because i chose a cheaper plan. I'm thinking of calling to complain. Think it will do any good?

So you are saying that if you and I both go add the same movie to our queues because I have the 3 movie plan it will show available for me and a wait for you? (assuming they have multiple copies on hand and not just 1)

Thats exactly what I'm saying.

In the past I've rarely ever seen a wait in my list, now its full of them. I know they throttle if you return as fast as you get them, and thats fine I can understand they need to make some money, but I'm only renting 1-3 per month and dont think its right to make me wait longer just because i have a lower plan. Especially given the fact that Ive been a customer for so long.

i admit, i was expecting to see all brand new releases but these aren't all that new. 10,000 bc said it was available now for me and my best friend's girl was short wait. i have the 3 at a time plan.

I get about 8 movies a month on the $8.99 plan. If I put new releases in my list, I guarantee myself I won't get it for at least a month. But if I put older titles, there are never any delays. I added a few movies from the OP listed to my queue, they all show up as very long wait for me.

In conclusion: Netflix is my source for non-new releases only.

Those are all from the wife and kid, most things I watch are horror and extremely low budget at that, so the on demand works for me

Undercover Dora shows as 'Available' for me.
But note that the list probably is shown according to what is available in your distribution area. I know my movies come from the San Jose warehouse. Yours may differ.

Even if they arent available from the local, they should come from one further away, I've had that happen many times before

I am having the exact same problem. In fact, I just called them to file a complaint. Not much they can do, but I let them know I am thinking about canceling.

Does anyone here have Blockbuster Online? I am thinking about switching back to them after being a netflix member since 2007. How are their wait times? Have they gotten any more distribution centers?

Everything I've heard indicates blockbuster isnt even an alternative.

I used to have Blockbuster Online and didn't have any complaints. I got my movies fairly quickly and the in-store exchange option was a nice perk. They expanded their distribution centers a couple of years back but I haven't heard of any since.

Of course, YMMV in relation to their distribution centers. I'm fortunate in that a distribution center for both Blockbuster Online and Netflix are just a few miles from where I live.
