So I signed up for a free one month trial, I mainly wanted it for streaming to my 360 and the cheap cost. I had doubts before, but so far I am really impressed. I place movies on my queue and withing 1-2 days they are at my door. I highly suggest if you watch movies to check it out, the online streaming is icing on the cake. I have the rrod on my 360 so I have not tried the NXE Netflix streaming, but have been using Playon to do it through my PS3 and it's pretty cool. I hope there are more options and possibly buffering on the Netflix/360 NXE deal though.

I know on the 360 you can get HD streaming, not sure what I am getting using the playon method, I know it's not HD though

It doesn't list actual resolution numbers, but most streams seem to be near SD quality (640*480). FWIW, I love the "watch it now" feature, and the selections keeps getting better.

My only gripe about Netflix is that if you're in the mood for a certain movie, you have to wait. Most of their online movies are old or dumb ones, but it's slowly getting better. Yay for Starz.

I still do Blockbuster or Redbox sometimes though.

The whole "mood for a movie" thing is silly. If I'm in the mood for a movie, I change my queue up and I'll see it in 2 days. The online movies have grown by a large amount in the last year, I can only expect them to increase.

What is the cost, because I am actually considering getting netflix, just to stream movies now...I was hoping for some higher quality, but I will live with low res stuff to...

You can watch one, and then go to the next, right? Or will it be one movie per day type of thing?

The cheap plan gives you limited streaming, the 8 bucks plan and up is unlimited. I have a free month trial if you are interested

The NXE on Xbox360 doesn't come out until November 19th anyway.

Even so, I believe there are 3rd party plugins for Media Center (extender) and Windows Media Connect to allow it to stream to the Xbox through your computer. NXE will likely be a higher quality solution, and I can't wait.

The online selection used to have mostly older movies, but they recently teamed up with Starz, so that's changing quickly. The TV section is growing very quickly as well. The selection of TV documentaries is very nice (PBS, BBC, Disc, Hist).

As for browsing the whole selection, I'd probably just set up a trial account.

i haven't looked at streaming since before they added starz stuff,, but i have to agree, the selection was pretty crappy. tons of 1-2 star rated movies with a few good ones mixed in.

I see Dexter is on there, score! I may do the trial, to see what the selection IS like.

Yeah...no. If I'm hanging out with my friends on a Saturday night and want to watch the latest Die Hard movie, I don't want to wait 2 days for it to show up, that's retarded lol. I'll buzz over to Blockbuster and pick it up. I'm glad the online movie list of growing, but it's still not where I want it to be, so I'll still be doing local pickup once in awhile :(

I Actually just canceled my cable (saving $70/month) and got the $8 netflix+bittorrent+OTA channels. So far Im very impressed with the netflix streaming. The movies arent all that great but the TV/Comedy/Documentary section is top notch and should give me a lot of stuff to watch. its been a week so far and I havent missed cable one bit...

Still crap. Where's Iron Man, The Hulk, basically any new release worth watching? Good for some TV shows though.
