Netflix just made a deal to get all the CW channel content. I really watch just one show, supernatural, but nikita looked interesting. Most of the new content will be added on the 15th.

NEW YORK - CBS Corp. and Warner Bros. Television Group's CW said Thursday that they have struck a four-year licensing agreement with Netflix allowing the company to instantly watch previous seasons of scripted series that air on The CW from its current schedule through the 2014-2015 season.
Under the deal, Netflix has licensed the rights to stream more than 700 hours of previous-season episodes of The CW’s young-skewing dramas as well as future programs.
The rights extend for four years after each series, current or future, ends its broadcast run on the network.
Programming available to Netflix subscribers will include the eight dramas on The CW’s fall 2011 schedule, including new series Ringer, Hart of Dixie and The Secret Circle, as well as returning hits The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210, Supernatural, Nikita and mid-season series One Tree Hill.
Financial details weren't disclosed, but CNBC reported the deal was worth several hundreds of millions of dollars.

Previous seasons of Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and Nikita will be available to watch instantly on Oct. 15, with previous seasons of Supernatural and 90210 beginning in January.

Episodes of all scripted series airing on the CW this broadcast season will premiere for Netflix members in the fall of 2012, the companies said.

Nice. Now I won't have to wait until next fall to see season 7 of Supernatural without commercials.

Too bad they didn't get Smallville, people tell me some of the seasons were decent.

that is about the only show in the cw that i would watch. i used to watch the show back in the day when it was stil "cool" but then they went all teenage drama on the show and i stopped watching it. but i would not mind being able to rewatch some of the earlier stuff that was pretty good.

More shit. Netflix is like a ghetto for bad TV shows.

there's a lot of great stuff on there, midst the chaff. Thing is, it's easy to ignore content that you've already seen, so it probably wouldn't register on your radar.

If Netflix drops Starz in favor up picking up a lot of new TV content (which it looks like they are doing), I'll be pretty happy overall, but it seems like they blew a lot of money for a lot of crap.

i hope netflix doesnt get bought out. theyre the best. if youve already seen most of the stuff on netflix then yeah i can agree, the new stuff that comes out regularly might not be worth the money.... but if youre like me and really havent watched that many moves or tv series the last 15 years, its pretty freakin incredible.

It'd actually be great if they were bought out, 10X more capital to increase their content... assuming they don't jack up the price.
