While most folks are salivating over House Of Cards Season 2 on Netflix ... I have been enjoying movies like "A Hijacking" ... basically movies and documentaries that make a unforgettable impression on you.

So ... I have started a twitter feed called ThinkNetflix (@ThinkNetflix)... the sole goal is to share info on movies and documentaries that are thought-provoking. These are all available for streaming.

Why is it that a fictional movie about a sea hijacking is though provoking, but a series like House of Cards can't be?

I am going to be perfectly honest, the movie doesn't sound very intriguing. I have little interest in a movie about a ship being hijacked, even if it is done very well.

I still think your idea is a decent one, however, you're going to be rather bias as to what you recommend. =)

Its thought provoking in the degree of ruthlessness that reflects reality (there are still hostages in Somalia from ships that were captured in 2010!!)

I thought lifehacks was going to suck but luckily only two of the videos sucked.

I enjoy watching Ted and Documentary's way more than most of the movies on there unless its something I recognize as something I wanted to see in theater's but never did.

Ahhhhh there are also alot of crazy shit documentary's on there to beware of. Gives documentary's and bad reputation. I don't necessarily buy into whatever case they are building but I like learning stuff in general I've found.
 
any good science or nature or history documentaries on netflix? their browsing interface is terrible. you have to search for a lot of stuff but how can you search if you do not know if it is on there and even if you know the name of the documentary at all.
