The movie was at the top of my list and ready to ship like 6 hours ago...now "Short" Wait...happened to me at least 5 times now with mvoies I really wanted to see...
I think renting from a local place works best for me, I used to use Netflix years ago when throttling wasn't an issue and you could cross ship DVD's allowing you to get many more in and out every month.Originally posted by: Azndude2190

Tuesday new releases ship out on Monday, so Mailing back a movie on Monday is a day too late.
Movies are first-come first-serve so if someone else added the new release to their queue 3 months ago and you just added it this week Netflix gives them the movie.
You must learn queue-jitsu to get the new releases you want on their first day.

OK, so let's say I add the movie to my queue months in advance. What's the best way to make sure that it gets sent to me? Do I send in my old movies on wednesday or thursday and pray? Is there some secret move you can do to make sure it doesn't prematurely send you a different movie?
