eh...with the way they jerk me around, I'm just cancelling. Gonna try intelliflix.

Netflix DOES have competition.

If you think Intelliflix is going to be any better, you're dreaming

I just started my trial.

Its been crappy so far.

DVDs shipped Tuesday - Received them on Thursday (was hoping I would get them on Wednesday, but not TOO bad.)

I shipped both them on Monday at the same time: One of them, they receive on Tuesday, the other they receive on Friday... HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??

I will give them a month or two, and if this continues.. will have to cancel.

You wanna know something that no one has mentioned? The fact that USPS sucks. In any other thread about shipping people will say USPS is horrid, stuff is late all the time, etc, but when they are talking about Netflix, its always Netflix's fault, never USPS's

We are on the 4 dvd category. Watch 3-6 a week, never had a problem. Been with netflix for years now, almost always 1-2 day turnaround.

20-40 in queue at any given time.

The fascinating thing about this thread is that no one is requiring folks to subscribe to netflix.

If you don't like it, don't get it. Stop whining about it.

Umm...so you're calling me a theif? If you want to judge me, why don't you sit in a corner and suck your thumb because you DON'T KNOW how many movies I attempt to watch in a week. Bye.

They sent a DVD 3 days after receiving the previous movie for me. And I live in Sunnyvale which is right near their distribution center.
I put it in the player after receiving it and it wouldn't play. Took it out and found out that one side of the dvd was cracked.
Now I've got to wait 5 days for the same friggin dvd.

I'm going to try intelliflix. They ship out on saturdays. If that doesn't work out, I'll try blockbuster.

I'm tired of being lied to.

I agreed with you!!!

I have a very bad experiance regarding Netflix free trial. I paid by credit card for $9.99 because just for free trial need to submitt CC #, so I did submitted & Netflix did charged my CC after 2 weeks later. I changed my mind to discontinue this rental. I sent Netflix 3 to 4 e-mails but I do not have luck to get reply by netflix... What The F**K / S**K customer service.

Dear ala, better watch out Netflix new business strategy to get your $5.99 & no return within the free trail.

I hope Netflix will read this forums & reply my e-mail jericor@yahoo.com I will show you my invoice & acount #.

Mad/Sad customer.

same losers bashing early in this thread oh well :)

after i got my broadband connection again, i didn't renew my netflix. is that wrong of me?

oh yea. things i didn't like about netflix. they sent me the same movie that wouldn't play in the same spot 3 times in a row! so eventually they told me to just hold the movie with me while they sent another copy which actually worked. so that was good of them. but they were starting to mess up on the shipping. it was good at first but got worse later. if they ever fix the shipping problem (which is why they had a class action suit that they settled) then maybe i'll go back one day.

This has happened to me several times. Which makes it really difficult to keep track of the plotlines in a TV show.

I signed up for their 2 at a time/ unlimited service...Great for the first couple of weeks, then they started throttling me...NOT happy about that. I've posted a complaint with their customer service, and of course, they blame the USPS...While we all know the USPS has it's ups and downs, funny how they manage to get you good service until you cross the line into "frequent renter" status, then all of a sudden, the post office is fvcked up? My goal was to do 2 turn-arounds of 2 movies per week. Not unreasonable, since I'm only about 70 miles from their San Jose distribution center, and I always return them to the post office, rather than a drop box elsewhere, but apparently, that's too many for them...Now, hard to get ONE turn-around in a week...THAT reeks of fraud or mis-representation...

I signed up a few weeks ago for 3 at a time/unlimited. It takes about 4 days average for movies to get to me. For example, my next batch is coming tomorrow (Thursday) and the movies left my possession Monday morning. I'm satisfied. It's cheaper than the rental store and more convenient.

I haven't noticed any slowdown and I've been signed up for 2 months now and always return my movies the day after I receive them.

Boomer, you wanted to do 2 turn-arounds per week when USPS doesn't even operate on Sunday? Let's run down the time required for this

Monday - you receive movies, do what you want with them, drop them in the mailbox
Tuesday - USPS picks up your movies
Wednesday? - Netflix receives movies?
Thursday - You receive next batch, do what you want with them, drop them in the mailbox
Friday - USPS picks up your movies
Saturday? - Netflix receives movies?

In other words, you expected overnight shipping. Even if you're only 70 miles from a distribution center, chances are that your movies were picked up in the afternoon and had to be sorted before getting placed on a truck the next day. If you sent movies on Monday, then at best Netflix would receive them on Thursday and you'd have the next batch on Friday. Netflix guarantees 2-3 days, not overnight.

they have repeatedly shipped movies that weren't near the top of my queue, despite them ALWAYS showing as "available." When I call and tell them, they admit that the queue is wrong. Once, I called them just hours after the wrong movie had shipped, and magically the correct movie was suddenly "available" again.

They don't report when they actually get the movie back. It's been taking upwards of 5 days for movies to get to them -- but always one day to get back here. We ship straight from the post office.

Their policies intentionally make it slower for people who rent more movies. Read the Terms of Service. You DO NOT have the ability to get unlimited movies like they claim. If you are renting too much, they will slow your turnaround down. A lot.

bah...

that and they have almost no customer service. Have you ever tried looking for a phone number on their website?

No person legitimately watches 6-9 movies a week. If you're pushing a two-day return period, yea, they're going to slow you down, because it's clear your intentions aren't legitimate.

Why wouldn't his intentions be legitimate? A person can easily watch a movie every night instead of watching the drivel that comes on network television. Maybe he's a college student who doesn't have a standard 9-5 job so he has more time. Use your brain next time before you post please :)

EDIT: Holy old post batman! LOL
