Question Netflix 4K with AMD RX 590 and i5-3570K?

PC Specs:
Monitor : LG 32UD59
CPU: i5-3570K
GPU: Sapphire RX 590 with Adrenalin 2019 Edition 18.12.3 driver
OS: Windows 10 1803
HEVC Video Extensions installed
Browser: Edge / Netflix Windows 10 App

I was under the impression that I would be able to get Netflix to play in 4K in Windows 10 using an AMD RX 590 card (reference https://www.trustedreviews.com/news/netflix-4-streaming...). I have not been able to do so, and have tried lots of troubleshooting so far to no avail.

As a side note, I have an Nvidia GTX 1080 card in another computer. I swapped this card into my 3570K rig and I was able to get Netflix in 4K. But when I put the RX 590 back in I can't get 4K.

Has anyone been able to get a similar combination working? Any help would be appreciated!

I haven't tried via hardware, but I have a browser extension installed into Chrome/FF that lets me use a resolution over 1080p. I refuse to use Edge.

Maybe try using ddu to clear out any Intel or nvidia driver remnants and make sure Intel igp is disabled in bios?

Just wanted to give a follow-up. I updated to the newest Radeon drivers yesterday (19.1.1) and am now getting 4K using the Netflix Windows 10 app. I'm still only able to get 1080p through Edge, but using the app is fine with me.

Thanks everyone for your help and input.
