Hey everyone

I need to know something about NetBIOS. NetBIOS has a limit of 15 character naming scheme for workstations on a domain. I absolutely need something that accepts longer names for workstations. Why would I need NetBIOS? Is there anything I can use as a substitute?

Feel free to ask questions. I don't have the slightest clue about NetBIOS. Thanks
 
you only NEED netbios if you have any win9x workstations on your network. if you dont, remove it. you get a little speed boost browsing the network with it removed.
