NetBeui - Windows 95 (peer to peer) server, Windows XP Pro, problems seeing all computers

Windows XP does not support NetBEUI out of the box. You need to install drivers for it separately. Check the AnandTech FAQs....it's in there.

You cannot just install it on WinXP.
The files located on the CD in Valueadd \ MSFT \ NetBeui

copy nbf.sys into the %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ directory
copy netnbf.inf into the %SYSTEMROOT%\INF\ directory

If you install off the CD, it will show up as installed in Protocols, but will not function properly.

Ok, I will try this. Everything works on the other machines, just not the Win XP Pro, even though it works on the XP Home.

...but will not function properly.

I've set it up a couple of times and it worked for me.

You might be running into problems with "master browser" issues from the 95, 98 systems. It's been a while since I had this issue, but it has to do with which system is holding the list of local computers on the network. Try a google search for more info.

Do all of the systems have a shared folder on them? I've seen where it helped to have file sharing on, to be able to find a troublesome computer on the network.

redbeard1: Yes they all have a shared folder,

I have noticed that the "browser" is set to enabled rather than automatic on some machines, I forget which option this is under though, but they are different.
