We're currently in a large SAN DR project and NetApp is one of the main companies we're looking at. It got so convoluted that we ended up hiring an outside contractor to help us with the decision process... they recommended NetApp all the way up until it came to the final pricing and then they said that NetApp was not going low enough.
So I'm curious, with special/registered pricing and deals through NetApp what you would expect a 3140 HA and single controller 3140 (DR site), 2 DS4243 SATA, 1 DS4243 SAS all with the Total Complete Software Bundles to run? This would also have 24/7/4 maintenance.
Trying to see if the guy is just exaggerating or not.. he was saying he thought it would be around $230k which sounds low compared to what we got back.
