EDIT: After reading his initial speech, I see nothing wrong with it:

"On this day, when our entire nation gathers together to remember the horrors of the Holocaust and the six million Jews who were murdered, we must fulfill our most sacred obligation. "This obligation is not merely an obligation to remember the past," he said.
With the Jewish state again facing calls for its annihilation, it's critical to apply lessons learned from the Nazi genocide.
"Today, the regime in Iran openly calls and determinedly works for our destruction. And it is feverishly working to develop atomic weapons to achieve that goal," Netanyahu said.

"I will continue to speak the truth to the world, but first and foremost I must speak it to my own people. I know that my people are strong enough to hear the truth," he said. "The truth is that a nuclear-armed Iran is an existential threat of the State of Israel. "The truth is that a nuclear-armed Iran is a political threat to other countries throughout the region and a grave threat to the world peace. "The truth is that Iran must be stopped from obtaining nuclear weapons," Netanyahu said.
"The nation of Israel lives and the Eternal One of Israel does not lie," the prime minister concluded.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected criticism of his likening of a nuclear-armed Iran to the Nazi Holocaust as improper, saying in an address to the country on Wednesday that "uncomfortable truths" must be aired.

they hypocrisy is so thick, you can cut it with a knife. stay classy there, buddy.

If you believe that Iran has no hostilities toward Israel, then you are correct.

If Iran wants to eliminate Israel (as stated by their leadership) then it is close to the bulls eye.

A nuclear attack against Israel will destroy the nation and wipe out most of the population. No difference than what the Nazi's did.

Meir Dagan is correct- Netanyahu is not rational, and the sooner the people of Israel figure that out, the better.

A pertinent quote-

Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY.

It's obvious that Netanyahu is following those dictats.

No whats sickening is that you still mis-quote and take things out of context to do what may I ask?

Prove that you actually are a troll or perhaps you think people on these forums don`t see right through you?

Israel attacks the Palestinians on a continuous basis with much more sophisticated weaponry, as a matter of policy, of creating more settlements on the West Bank-

Quite honestly, I'm leaning towards desiring everyone in the middle east wiped off the map :p If I were an equal opportunity destroyer of countries, would that make me respectable to everyone?

I've seen that one. Brian Williams looks as if he's about ready at any time to jump out and strangle that douchebag.

Do you also deny that the Nazis had concentration camps for Jews in WWII and gassed them, Jhhnn? Are you in agreeement with Imadinnerjacket?

And deflect again, this time with veiled personal attack.

So you're claiming that Netanyahu's blatant paranoid fearmongering isn't an example of what Goering offered back at Nuremberg? Can military aggression really be justified on the basis of such distortions?

The subject at hand is Netanyahu's speech, after all.

The only thing that makes Iran less dangerous is that the President of Iran does not control the military - the ruling Council of Clerics does. A dictator is unpredictable, since an individual cannot be easily predicted for, but a group is far more predictable.

If the Iranian president had control of the military, I would say we need to invade and stop their nuclear program right now...but the ruling council will most likely not use nukes in an attack they start (due to losing power if they do - we will have to invade them if they use nukes in an attack they start).

They're trying to get nuclear energy, but they're not capable of making nuclear weapons. Anyway, I don't understand why so Americans would want to attack them even if they did get a nuclear weapon. Russia has nukes and the U.S. gov hasn't attacked them for it. It's not like Iran would use nukes on Americans unless the U.S. government gave them a good reason to.

So you really want a country who has threatened Israel and called for removing israel from the pages of history and who has said they will sponsor any terrorist group that attcks Israel ...you really wANt Iran to have nuclear weapons?

OH..I get it..its okay for Iran to attack Canada or Mexico once they get nukes after all the are not going to use them unless we do something foolish???

That thinking has Iran holding the world hostage.....

I see a lot of Iran/Israel threads. Perhaps you should notify the OPs about this :p

Now you do see a lot of people calling for attacks, but are they actually doing more than, say, Iran? Not bloody likely.
