Just saw that it appeared on windows update. Should be fine to install it right? I don't anticipate it introducing any compatibility problems...

For what it's worth I've been running 4.5.1 since it was released and it's been fine on my system (Win 7 Home Premium). In fact it seems to have fixed a couple of small issues that .NET 4 seemed to have developed over time.
