Burning software as a whole is pissing me off lately..
Nero seems to be the only one that is working pretty good, although the version I have does not have support for my DVD-106S so I have to read CD's with my CD-RW and then replace the CD and then write. (pain in the arse).
Be thankful you aren't using Adaptec/Roxio easy CD creator.. I have had nothing but problems with this software on any PC I've tried it on.. PURE hell and not worth the time and effort AT ALL. Nero is good software at least!
I don't think it'd get that high at all if DMA was the problem, DMA was the problem once for me back when i first started into this type of thing and it wasn't even making it past lead-in.. it stopped at like 2-3% of the disc. I am not sure exactly WHAT that could be, but I don't think it's a DMA issue... especially with Burn-Proof.. (maybe burn-proof is the problem)
Good luck figuring it out!
