Is there anyway to just install the Nero DVD/CD burning component and not install anyl of that other junk? If there is a way I keep missing it.

I want none of this bloated crap on my computer:
Nero BackItUp
Nero Cover Designer
Nero ImageDrive
Nero SoundTrax
Nero Wave Editor
Nero CD-DVD Speed
Nero DriveSpeed
Nero InfoTool
Nero StartSmart

Or is there a program that can remove these safely after installation, kinda like that Adobe Acrobat Speedup program removes the unecessary plugins?

My entire C:\Program Files\Ahead directory takes up a whopping 35 MB. I'm not aware of a way to selectively uninstall Nero components. You could remove the executables and shortcuts if they really bother you.

i know that and that is completely unhelpful to what i am asking. mere exes aren't the only unecessary bloat though. the installation process makes all sorts of crap entries throughout the registry too. that's why a specialized removal program would help.

and by the way, my nero 6.3.1.20 ultra edition folder takes up 63.7mb plus another 13mb in common files/ahead folder plus whatever else it decides to install randomly throughout the windows/system32 folder plus the system registry entries. all that to burn a dumb cd in nrg format.

as usual i'll uninstall it, but i think blindwrite can do .nrg anyway so i'll see if that is better and leaner.
