Nero says "Drive Is In Use By Another Application" WHY??

Hey guys

I'm trying to use Nero to burn a CD and every time I try to burn it, it comes up with a message saying "Drive Is In Use By Another Application". This has been going on for too long and I need an answer.

Or if someone can tell me another program that burns .bin files... 🙂

What other software are you running? (Other cd burning apps?)

What are the system specs?

How long has this been happening?

if you're running xp you need to uncheck the ....i'm way too tired and can't remember where it is right now. but xp has the ability to write to cd writers. you need to uncheck it. anybody remember where it's at?

- AMD Athlon XP 2400+
- ABIT NF7-S Mobo
- 512 MB DDR Ram (PC2700, running at PC2100)
- WD 120 GB HDD w/8mb cache
- ATi Radeon 9500 Pro Video Card
- Hercules GameSurround Fortissmo III Sound Card
- LG 52/24/52 CD-RW Drive
- LG 16x DVD-ROM
- Windows XP Pro

Not sure what else you need, but that's the jist of it...

Anyway, I also have Discjuggler for burning .cdi files and that's it.

I don't know where to disable XP's built in CD writing... anyone know where it is??

I got TweakXP and disabled the CD burning in Windows XP, but it still doesn't work.

Any other ideas?

try uninstalling discjuggler. nero used to be very picky about other burning progs. i found that nothing else would work with it. with updates it may be better now, but it's worth a try.

Press Crlt + Shift + Escape , and look for any 3rd party burners , that might be hiding somewhere

Otherwise uninstall all other burning proggies , except Nero and see what happens then
