nero ripping horribly slow

At the time of posting, ripping a 2-week old CD at 9488 bytes/sec (0.1x)
i left home almost four hours ago, it was on track 17, its now almost done with 18

UPDATE: At this update, still working on track 18, going at 23kbs!!!!!!!!!!1

finished, those two tracks came out corrupted and have the last two times i ripped them
