NERO problems...

Hi folks,
Im a new guy here and I need some help. In my frustration I have been trying to burn my video files onto a CD-R/CD-RW. Nero seems to be working meaning it goes through the encoding and burning processes. And at the end I get the burn successful message but my CD-ROM didnt even spin my damn disc. Im on the brink and need some assistance if possible. BTW I have NERO5 and a Samsung CD drive in a Sony Pent4 VAIO if any of this info is relevant; Im sure it is.
Please reply with assistance or none so at least I know its been read. Thank you in advance.

Make sure it isn't trying to burn an image, and make sure it's not just running through a simulation.

Make sure you have the cd-r drive selected and not image recorder.
