when i'm trying to burn .avi files to vcd, Nero suppose encode the files for you, but after i installed 5.5.51, when nero try to encode the file, it will disply a message saying "Not enough memory" does anyone has any idea what its talking about?
You could use a program called Memturbo You would be surprised to find out how much of your memory
is used just running your desktop.
What this is reffering to is that you have way to many programs running at the same time and they are taking
all of your memory to keep running. You can do three things to help this out.
1. On your task bar, to the far right side at the bottom, each little icon you see there is running and taking
your memory.Close them if not useing them
2. Hit "CTRL + ALT + DELETE " Once more all of these are programs that are currently running taking your computers resources.
You will have to read to find out which ones you can terminate.
3. Get into your c:\ windows directory and go to your start-up folder. You could probally get rid of many things here also.
thanx for the replies.. correction.. i have 512 MB of ram... i only have 3 programs running.. nothing else running in the background.. it was fine when i used the older version of Nero.. i tried it both in Win 2K and Win XP.. the message still comes up.. i donno if its the bug in version 5.5.5.1 or what..
