never saw anything like it..... i downloaded demo version of NERO from cnet.com... was able to record some data files-- but... how do you finalize disks so that it can be read on other cd-roms????

you'd think they'd spell this rather important step out.....but they have everything explained EXCEPT this....

am i nuts? i even click on help and have them do a locate on "Finalize"-- nothing.

can anyone help? let's say you recorded 70 minutes of music-- or a bunch of data files-- and you're now ready to finalize the disk. how does NERO do this? they want me to pay $50 for this after the demo version expires in 30 days-- i'm about to unistall it.

roxio cd creator was much simpler. but i'm hoping someone can help. thanks

i dont know about the demo version (i have full ver of 5.0), but when you click the burn button (not the wizard), go to the last tab (burn), and there should be a check box saying "finalize" and then tells you than nothing can be written on after it and blah blah....what ver is the demo?

thanks for reply-- nero version was 5.5.6.4 (according to cnet download site)... my 30 day trial period lasted about 30 minutes--- uninstalled it and hopefully won't have any problems installing roxio cd creator which i am used to. thanks again.
