Nero copy problem

Muse

Lifer
I have a DVD, single sided (I burned it myself), and I have to change one file. The change is to a text file and just one character is changed, so the size of the file is the same. So, I want to use Nero 6 to make a new copy of this DVD with the altered file. I tried to do this but got a message that the DVD-R I wanted to copy it to doesn't have enough space (it's the same kind of DVD-R that I made the original with).

I opened Nero, and the New Compilation screen came up and I used the default, DVD-ROM(ISO), clicked the New button, and selected my DVD drive and selected everything on the original DVD and did a drag and drop to the left side. After almost an hour, all the files had been copied to HD. I then found the edited file on my HD (I'd copied the text file over previously and made the edit), and dragged and dropped it into the directory where it sits on the original DVD. I was asked if I want to replace the original file, and I say "OK." I then asked Nero to burn the compilation and eventually I'm asked for a blank disk and Nero then determines that there's not enough room. Somehow Nero wants to burn almost 6 GB of data! What am I doing wrong?

Try creating an ISO file with DVD Shrink. Then edit the ISO file. (I use UltraISO) Then burn the corrected ISO file to a new DVD.

Or if you have all the files you want to put on the new dvd,
just redo the compilation with your changed text file and
the files you want. See if it still things the dvd is as a big
as the first time.
