Nero CD burning/Medium Speed Error

Using Win2k and nero. Newest aspi drivers in both win2k and nero. Whenver i try to burn a cd however, it gives me a "medium speed error". I've tried with cdrs, cdrws, and different speeds, even 1x. Anyone know whats up with this?

What burner are you using? (Model/Manuf?)

what is your source drive or reader drive for the burn. Most people so often blame the burner or the sofware when the real culprit is a crap cdrom that can't read fast enough or acccurately enough. I have had dvd drives that really suck bad as a reader especially when it was trying to read another cdr or rw disk.
