Maybe the most basic question ...

But can anybvody tell me the difference between the two? I got a Nero Express CD with my DVD writer ... I have heard a lot of praise about Nero ... is Nero Expess the same?

If ... they are not the same, what are the features I'm missing in Nero Express?

Thanks!

I think Nero Express is just a very streamlined version of Nero. Nero lets you set a lot of advanced features before you burn but most people never have to touch those settings. Download the Nero demo and take a look.

Nero Express is a simpler, more wizard-type thing. It's the same as Nero, just a different interface.

Nero lets you customize more, gives you more options, but a lot of those options you probably don't need.

If your used to Winzip, think of it as Winzip in the 'advanced' user interface vs the wizard user interface it defaults new users to.

Thanks!

But the price difference is pretty big ... I saw Nero Express for like 15-20 bucks while Nero burning software for 60. Was it a mistake?

Also I got Nero Express "OEM" version with my DVD writer .. is it different than Nero Retail?
