NERO ASPI or ADAPTEC ASPI?

I was wondering if someone can tell me if there is a difference between the ASPI versions on the Nero site and the Adaptec site? The Nero site has a version listed as 2.0.1.27 and the Adaptedc site has a version listed as 4.60, the reason I have asked this is I'm about to get the Liteon 24x burneer and there is some question about ASPI drivers and CDRWIN, CDRWIN seems perfectly happy with the Nero version I stuck in the System32 Dir. And my Sony 8x4x32 never makes a coaster, but it also won't back up my SD2 games. So, is there a difference? Thanks.
