Which version of MP3 Tags does nero support? I believe it is ID3v1 but I wish I could get it to work with at least ID3v2.

I was getting ready to burn a MP3 CD and when I look at the titles for the songs, some of them were shortened. I checked the tags and the ones that were shortened match the ID3v1 where as the ID3v2 have the full names. I know the ID3v1 has a limit on them, that is why I rather be using the ID3v2 tags. I'm currently using Nero 6.3.1.6.

Thanks for all the help.

For a data CD? It shouldn't need to "support" anything.

A data file is a data file. If the ID3v2 tag is on the copy on your hard drive, it should be on the copy on your CD.

It will be an audio disk. I was using the mp3 to create a regular cd audio disk that has cd-text. The mp3's have both id3v1 and id3v2 info and the id3v2 is complete because it can hold longer names. When I drag the mp3 files into the compliation area, the title of the mp3 files that are long get cut off and they are cut off right where the id3v1 does. Thus I was wondering if Nero only read the id3v1 tags and not the id3v2 and higher tages.

Ah, I understand. I was thrown off by your original post because you said "I was getting ready to burn a MP3 CD."

Take a look at these screen shots. Maybe this will help. In nero, some of the titles are short and look like ID3v1 tags, but not quite. The ones that are short are 1 character shorter than ID3v1 tags. I tried to add the full title, but it appears that there is a limit on the characters that can be in the title column. The other columns also have a limit too. So I'm not sure it this is a MP3 tag problem or is it just a limit that nero has.
