Went to Best Buy in Fresno, Ca last night.....they had Nero 6 Ultra edition on the Shelf for $99.99, From the Nero website, it isnt supposed to be out til this Friday....just giving you guys the heads up, if you are interested.

Yeah, the release is supposed to be friday. I have played with a copy and I think it's a nice upgrade. The only thing that bothers me is it's more like Easy CD Creator. There is still the good old Nero Burning ROM (with a lot of updates), but it seems more dumbed down to me than the previous version. I guess Ahead is trying to appeal to the mass market rather than a group of people who like a very powerful burning engine.

Please note: Users who bought Nero 5.5 through our webshop (download and boxed version) after the 1st of May 2003 will get automatically a free upgrade to Nero 6 Ultra Edition around the 18th of July. They don't have to register themselve. "

Nero 6 Ultra Edition, gay name.

$100 is a lot for burning software, but I guess when you cram it full of things that belong in other apps, like mpec encoders, you'll have that.

It is already out, i have it installed.
Not much difference besides the fact that it is more like Windows XP in visual styling
