Hi,

I have the latest version of Nero 5, v5.5.10.54. Currently have no DVD burner. When the Nero Wizard pops up w/the "What Kind of CD to Create?" option, the DVD is grayed out. Is that just b/c I've no DVD burner installed?

I am buying a burner tonight. This one.

Will Nero burn DVDs? Thanks much.

it's greyed out cause you don't have a DVD BURNER.

Nero 5.5 will burn DVDs

You might need to pay the upgrade fee anyway if the Nero you have came with your old burner -- the bundled version is often locked to that particular drive.

The full version of 5.5 supports DVD drives, but you might check the Ahead nero.com website to see if 5 supports the specific burner model you're looking at or if you need nero 6.

FYI the nero express that came with my Pioneer A06 works pretty well, I haven't yet felt the need to pay for upgrading the nero 5 that's locked to my old TDK CDRW.

Thanks guys, that's GREAT news! I have the full version of Nero 5. :D

I felt silly asking that question... but I didn't want to wait until the burner was in before findout out yes or no.

Thanks again.
