nero 5.551 compatible with XP??????

Can anyone help?
I've tried burning CDs using nero (5.009, 5.551 & 5.554) with no success.
I'm using WinXP v2002, a plextor PX40-TS and a yamaha CRW6416S on an IWill 2930C SCSI card (using Advansys driver).
Nero starts up OK, and appears to burn OK (have tried COPY DISC and CREATE AUDIO CD from MP3 files). After burning the CDR is ejected, and has burn tracks (as it should), BUT when I reinsert the CDR, the plextor drive won't read it, and the yamaha reports a blank disc. Other PCs, stereos etc are also unable to read the bad CDRs.
I have successfully burned an audio CD from MP3s using Media Player (so I assume the hardware is OK).
I've tried running Compatibility Mode, but after that nero won't start reporting original WNASPI32.DLL missing.
I've even tried a fresh install of Win XP and nero 5.551, to make sure other software isn't the problem.
Everything worked fine with Win 98SE
PLEASE HELP

Nero 5.551 works fine for me. Did you download the burning compatability update from the Windows Update site? That may help.

Going out on a limb here: Try turning off (set it to "manual", also) the "imapi" cdr service (sorry if this isn't the exact name, I'm posting from Win2000 right now) if you know how. You can get to it by "Start>Settings>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services". Or you can disable it in "msconfig>services". Maybe this will help incase the built-in burning app is interfering with Nero.

BTW, my Nero 5.5.5.5.5.5.1 works fine on WinXP.

EDIT-oops, too many "5's" ???
