Nero 5.5 I need SVCD

I just bought a Liteon 24X10X40X. I love it, but I want to record my MPEG-2 movies into SVCD format. (by the way Nero 5.5) The program tells me to get the plug-in from their website. I can get it by E-mail for
$16.00. I tried burning my movies in VCD and it looks good, but IT CAN LOOK BETTER. (I hope) Should I get the plug-in? Does it work????

Here is a comparison of SVCD encoders, the Nero plugin makes a good showing, but kinda slow. Check the guides at that site for all the SVCD creation info you need.

I've converted VHS tapes into VCDs, the process can be done 100% by freeware (except for the hardware portion).

TMPEG works pretty damn good and is easy to use.
