Nero 5.5 & CR7060A. Now only shows 2x (not 6x)

I reinsatlled my Win2k professional.
I run Nero 5.5 and a CDR burner that says 7060A in the BIOS boot.

Before the reinstall, I wab able to burn at 6x.
Now, the dropdown box in Nero only contains 1x and 2x.
What gives? No hardware has changed.

On this new build, I do believe I accidentally installed old ASPI drivers for NT or win98.
But I think I did on hte last build also.
