I've noticed what seems to be a bug in Nero 5.5, the CD burning software.
When you first load the program the compilation box comes up.
Under the ISO tab, you can select what format you wish to burn in:
Mode 1 (ECC error detection - must for data CDs)
Mode 2/XA (No error detection - great for video/audio cds)
PROBLEM/BUG
If you select one of these modes and move to another tab (say multisession, dates, burn etc), when you go back to the ISO tab the Format will have reset itself to its previous value.
The only way to keep the correct mode set is to select "New" while on the ISO tab after you have made the change.
I'm worried that the program is not writing in the correct mode due to this bug. Is there a program that can detect what mode a CD has been written in?
Has anyone else noticed this bug?
Thanks for your input.
