Nero 5.0/Updated ASPI Driver Problem

Last weekend I installed updated ASPI drivers from here in order to make CDR Identifier work on my system. My ASPI version is now 4.60(1021). I now have a new problem. Whenever I try to burn a CD using Nero 5.38 I get a buffer underrun and my system locks up. I also get a message from Nero "SCSI/IDE Error". Things always start out just fine but this almost always happens either in the test or actual burn phase with no regular occurence or pattern. Sometimes a CD will burn successfully but the ratio is probably 1 in 4. I am using a Plextor IDE 8/4/32A burner with latest firmware installed. I have installed nothing new on my system since upgrading the ASPI and everything worked perfectly before, so I deem this the problem.
Here is my question. Is there any way to go back to the original ASPI that installed with my OS? If so, how? I already know that I made a big mistake my not making an OS image using my Norton Ghost. Please help!
