Looks like he installed Kazaa lite. (2.1?) I'm getting rid of it now, do I have to worry about any spyware or anything that may have been installed?

Thanks

The whole point of lite is to avoid spyware.

yeah... you better break his arms as a lesson. You know RIAA can search your house if they find out you visited a site that has links to kazaa downloads?

Okay, I assume you mean something besides "Kazaa Lite"? K-lite maybe? I really hope you don't buy that Certified Kazaa bullsh*t they feed you when you install. If you read it closely you'll notice they've very carefully avoided saying that Kazaa Lite puts in their own ads -- they only mention it as a hypothetical situation -- because they know 1) it isn't true, and 2) they could be sued for it if they had said it. Kazaa Lite actually removes the ads, blocks all the adservers the ads come from and replaces any built-in ads with blank images.

Don't uninstall Kazaa Lite. If anything you should go to Oldversion.com and get the newest version of Kazaa Lite -- now called Kazaa Lite K++.

EDIT: Sorry, finally saw your post about not using Kazaa, period. But no, don't worry about Kazaa Lite leaving behind any spyware. Hell, if he didn't install the Supertrick when he installed Kazaa Lite I'd say run the installer again and add the Supertrick in. It blocks a lot of adservers, and that's a good thing.

A simple uninstall should take care of it. Spybot and Adaware couldn't hurt, since there is a Sharman Networks component to it still. :p

No, they don't, and if they ever think they do, they'll have INNUMERABLE issues to deal with:
1) Goons getting their asses kicked
2) Goons turning up dead in a river
3) Goons being arrested
4) TOTAL loss of public support. Throw away the constitution because of your crappy music? I think not.
