Neoprene: Where do I buy it and how much does it cost?

I have an Apple 15" G4 Titanium laptop. I'd like to buy a small sleeve for it, but the ones I've seen online are very expensive and most are too bulky anyways.

All I want to do is make a neoprene sleeve - no pockets, but maybe with a small flap with velcro. Also maybe a second sleeve for accessories. I figure I need less than 1 sq. metre of neoprene total. Where in Canada is it sold, and is it expensive? I figure it would take all of 10 minutes to make something up on my sister's sewing machine.

Is there another fabric that would give the same effect? eg. Very light padding and not too thick.
 
I'll sell you my old wetsuit. It's a little stiff these days, but it will get the job done.

Seriously, though...go to dive shop and buy a used wet suit and cut it up 😀
 
Thanks. I'll keep them in mind, but I'm still looking in Canada. Do fabric stores ever sell neoprene? ie. the soft bouncy foam type in wet suits? It looks like much of the industrial neoprene is different.

I thought about the wet suit thing, but it seems kinda gross, like cutting up somebody's old underwear. 😛
