So I was a little alarmed when I came back to my computer room after getting a bite to eat, and my computer is turned off and completely unresponsive to the power button. Other than the mobo standby power light being on, there is no indication that my computer has power at all.
I didn't have the tools to test at home so I dragged it to an area computer repair/reseller place, plugged in a differnet PSU, and everything seemed to work fine. So it looks like the Neo Power just fried. After hearing about Antech PSUs dropping like flies amongst my friends (despite positive reviews of the Neopower), I asked what other brands they had in stock rather than just replace that one.
I hadn't heard of Enhance, and haven't found much mention of it around here, so I was rather wary. But the people at the store said its what they prefer for servers, because they've rarely if ever seen one fail, compare to other brands they carry. They even let me hook one up to my box... it's a server/workstation PSU, and the voltage is actually much tighter than the Neopower, currently at 12.032-11.98V, 4.919v, and 3.28-3.296v. Only been running for a day, so we'll see how it goes.
Anyone have any Enhance experience?
