Neone here running CounterStrike on an LCD monitor?

I posted this over in the software forum, but i figure i might get more responses here. I just got a new NEC LCD1830 monitor and tried running CS. Problem is that it only runs in a small box in the top left corner of the monitor that is about 1/4 the size of the full screen. I'm running WinXP and the detonator 21.85's. The game ran perfectly on my freakin 955df but no go so far on the lcd. I realllllllllllllllly wanna keep the monitor since I got it for such an awesome price from a friend. Any suggestions?

display properties/advanced/device slecetion/device adjustments/use display adapter scaling.

Thats it, but it might just be in the On screen display menu cause I'm using the DVI connection to my planar flat screen. If i connect it with just regular analog you have to tell it to use default size vs native size.

How well do games run on a LCD monitor? I was thinking about picking up the 18" Planar one, but I dunno how good games will run. I mostly play CS and D2, is there any real drawback to having an LCD monitor in terms of gaming?

game is great on my sony 18.1. can do 1280x1024@85Hz.

Isn't there some issue where the refresh rate is faster on a CRT than a LCD.
